Thank You for Passing Measure 114

On November 8th, Oregon voters approved the only ballot measure in the country that put common-sense restrictions on buying firearms.

Measure 114 requires Oregonians to complete a firearm safety course and pass a background check to obtain a permit to buy a gun. It also bans the sale or transfer of magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition. Despite predictable lawsuits, the LEVO campaign is making progress toward implementing the law. WHO WE ARE

Lift Every Voice Oregon was formed in 2018 by a community of faith leaders and people of good will who believed gun violence must stop. They, along with thousands of volunteers, knew that action must be taken. LEVO pursued ballot measures and legislative proposals to end the violence. Through procedural delays and the covid pandemic, they persevered and qualified Measure 114 for the Nov. 2022 Oregon ballot. Oregonians responded with their time, energy, donations, and votes. Measure 114 is now the law in Oregon.
